National Science Day at MRIU
Department of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Manav Rachna International University with the aspiration to promote innovation, consciousness and reach of accessibility solutions worldwide to specially-abled people in the world, organized video lectures on 28thFebruary 2017 for faculty members and first year B.Tech students. The main objective of organizing this event was to sensitize the students about their role towards the specially abled persons as well as to acquaint them about the contributions of Dr. C.V. Raman. Students were also made aware of the significant contribution of specially abled persons towards the society. Dr. M. K. Soni Executive Director and Dean FET, MRIU was the chief Guest of the Event.Video lectures were conducted on ‘Science and Technological Solutions for Specially Abled Persons’, ‘Specially Abled Persons are Heroes’ and ‘Beyond Rainbows – The Quest & Achievements of Dr. C.V. Raman’ were shared with the audience.
Dr. M. K. Soni showered his blessings on the students with his gentle and encouraging words. Dr. Soni said that there are different aspects of using certain technologies, but if used properly, it would always benefit and facilitate mankind. Technology helps differently-abled people in many different ways; it proves people with disabilities can lead more healthy lives. He asked the students to think differently and try to innovate through technology. More than 110 students and 20 faculty members were present at the programme. The programme was enlightening and inspiring for students. Dr. Devi Singh, Head of Physics Department gave the vote of thanks to express gratitude to Dr. M. K. Soni for his support and guidance and also congratulated all the faculty members and students for making the event successful. The programme was concluded with the National Anthem.
