MRU M.Sc students selected for Summer Training at IOCL R&D
Four of M.Sc. (Chemistry), Manav Rachna University (MRU) have been selected for Summer Training program at Analytical Division of Indian Oil R&D Centre, Faridabad.
The Supervising team from the organization had an in-depth interaction with Prof. A. K. Gupta regarding the training program and were impressed with the knowledge of M.Sc. students. The team also appreciated students for their diligence and understanding of the subject, including handling instruments and providing solutions to research issues.
Priyanka Arora is working on the characterization of polymers and additives by Proton NMR and Carbon-13 NMR Spectroscopy. Shweta Kataria is working on Ultra trace analysis of metals in Fuel Samples by Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma (ICAP) Technique.
Another student who has bagged training at the organization is Divya Chhabra. She is working on the characterization of Petroleum Products and Catalysts by UV-Visible and Infrared Spectroscopy.
Meanwhile, Shivangi Panwar is researching on the determination of Molecular Weight and Molecular Weight Distribution of Polymers by High Pressure Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry.
Prof. A. K. Gupta also interacted with the Head of Analytical Division, Dr. J. Christopher, General Manager (IOC R&D) along with students and their supervisors. Dr. Christopher was satisfied with the performance of our students. He advised them to take maximum benefit of their training by interacting with scientists and learn the resolution of problems using the state-of-the-art analytical facilities in this division of Indian Oil Research & Development Centre.
