MRU confers Honoris Causa upon the world’s largest peace builder Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, September 24, 2019

At Soka Gakkai International (SGI), we share a common bond with Manav Rachna University that spans multiple levels”; said Mr. Minoru Harada, President Soka Gakkai while accepting the Honoris Causa degree bestowed upon Dr. Daisaku Ikeda in a formal ceremony at the Ambedkar International Centre.
Mr. Vishesh Gupta, Chairperson Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG); Mr. Yoshiki Tanigawa, Senior Vice President; Ms. Kimiko Nagaishi, Women Leader of Soka Gakkai; Ms. Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, Former Ambassador to Japan; Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI); Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. I K Bhat, VC, MRU; youth delegation from SGI Japan and representatives from BSG were present on the occasion.
While expressing his joy on this momentous day of pride, honour and profound happiness; Dr. Prashant Bhalla said: “Dr Ikeda embodies a vision and mission that Manav Rachna humbly stands for and the Manav Rachna family extends its heartfelt gratitude to him for being an unmatched inspiration for its students. Dr. Ikeda’s mission of Peace and Sustainability has inspired many an endeavor at Manav Rachna University campus. The recent setting up of the “Centre for Peace” is an earnest initiative to propel the energy and resources towards a greater universal good with academic and research activities, in its agenda”.
It is noteworthy that Manav Rachna University has recently set up a ‘Centre for Peace’ which would enable Peace Management courses, workshops and Awareness programmes towards a global initiative of eliminating strife and syncing the human consciousness with cosmic consciousness.
