Department of Research & Doctoral program in association with FMS, MRIU conducted a workshop on Project Development by Dr. Ravinder Singh, Scientist, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Ministry of Health, Government of India
Deptt. Of Research & Doctoral program headed by Professor (Dr.) N K Chadha in co-ordination with Faculty of Management Studies, MRIU conducted a Workshop for the Faculty members on fundamentals of Project preparation and budgeting by Dr. Ravinder Singh, In charge of Non Communicable disease (Major Project), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Ministry of Health, Government of India. Dr. Singh emphasized on the key aspects of developing a major research project and making it attractive for funding agencies to consider it for major funding. Dr. Singh brings along with him an extensive exposure of research project guidance and actively involved in sanctioning and evaluation for the project grants to various stakeholders. 18 faculty members from FAS and FMS participated and evaluated the possibility of interdisciplinary projects which have a better acceptance in academia.
The workshop was divided in two/three phases:
Phase I- Half day Workshop on the fundamentals of project writing and budgeting on 29th April 2017
Phase II- Second day Post workshop assessment of the projects created by the faculty teams of FMS and FAS. This phase will be conducted after a gap of 10-15 days once the faculty has developed the project.
The faculty present appreciated the initiative and were keen to develop projects. Dr. Nandini Srivastava proposed the vote of thanks and assured the Faculty to organize second phase soon.
