MRIIRS witnesses its seventh Convocation Ceremony
Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) witnessed a landmark celebration at its campus as the seventh batch graduated while proud parents, friends and relatives watched from the sea of audience members present at the event.
Undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD scholars who have successfully completed their Engineering, Applied Sciences studies from MRIIRS were awarded their degrees at the second day of the ongoing grand Convocation by Dr. V S Chauhan, Executive Chairman, NAAC in the presence of Smt. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI; Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, MREI; Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, VC, MRIIRS; and several veterans from the academic, corporate, government and administrative bodies.
On this momentous occasion, MRIIRS bestowed a Honoris Causa degree upon Mr. Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV in recognition of his exemplary media career and his immense contributions to media relations and reporting.
Meritorious students were awarded with exemplary performance medals. Ms. KritikaKaveri was bestowed with the Patron’s medal in recognition of her exemplary academic journey. Ms. Ashlesha Sharma was given the President’s medal for her international achievements. Ms. AnshulJha was awarded the Vice President’s medal.
In his address to all the graduands, Dr. V S Chauhan said: “Skills and training are the obvious consequence of pursuing a particular course, the real purpose of education, however, is to imbibe the values that shall help you in your future journey. And, I am very happy to note that Manav Rachna Educational Institutions have dedicated themselves to create better human beings who can lead us into our future.”
While presenting the MRIIRS Annual Report, Dr. Sanjay Shrivastava urged the students to be honest while maintaining the virtues of patience and passion. “As the young, educated, smart, and knowledgeable fraction of the society, you should remember that if not today, tomorrow success would be yours. So the question is not about achieving success but about values, because only that will give you satisfaction when you look back at your life”, he said.
The convocation memoir ‘Pratibimb’ was also released on the occasion. The presence of the distinguished alumni of MRIIRS made the day even more special. The flag of the alumni association was formally handed over to the newest members of the Alumni Association on this august occasion.
Students from all the non-engineering streams of MRIIRS including Management, Media Studies, Architecture, Computer Applications, Business Studies, Social Studies, etc. will be awarded degrees by Sh. Anurag Thakur, Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs, GoI tomorrow (December 8) which is also the final day of the three-day long grand celebration of ‘Excellence’.
