Under PM Yuva Yojana, Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies, MRIIRS organized ‘BUILD IT’ with an objective to encourage team spirit in the participants and to give them an opportunity to showcase their creativity. The event was organized by the E-cell team ‘Zealous’ recently.

The challenge for ‘BUILD IT’ was to build the tallest free standing tower using newspaper and tape. The tower should withstand the high speed wind.

Around 25 teams participated in the event and each participant was excited to build the tower. The room was teeming with energy and excitement to behold. The participants’ were filled with even more enthusiasm to complete their structure. As the timer hit its mark, the fans were turned on in full blast to decide the fate of the towers.

The team which made the highest standing tower comprised Mohan, Kaleem and Yoginder of BBA (General) and was declared as the winner. Dr. Amit Seth and Ms. Nidhi Tandon awarded them a trophy.

Prof. Amit Seth recited a poem by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, “Himmat karne walon ki haar nahi hoti” for other participants to not be disheartened by the setbacks and keep striving forward.
