MRIIRS Non-Fet Orientation: Clan Visit to Villages
A three-week long orientation program has been going on at the Manav Rachna Campus to welcome all the Freshers. To provide a novel experience and to welcome the first year students, a series of workshops, seminars, sessions with well-known personalities were organised during the first week. The second week encouraged the students to explore the cultural extravaganza and community services supported by Manav Rachna. To sensitize students towards the general public and for the upliftment of under privileged section of society the students, divided into 4 clans visited the villages to spread awareness about the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan”.
Students of the Forest Rhinos clan visited government school of village Nariyala to spread awareness about cleanliness and proper sanitation. The students also got an opportunity to meet the Sarpanch of the village; the media persons from India News were also present and documented the event.
The Water Shark clan visited Govt. school in Panhera village. Students visited the whole school along with the staff of the school. Quiz and discussion were conducted on health and sanitation. A dance session was conducted for the students of the school. A tree plantation drive by the students was held in the school premises.
Students of Air Falcon Clan and faculties of MRIIRS under the coordinator ship of Dr. Kalpna Varshney visited Rajkiya Madhyamik Vidyalaya Hirapur village. The aim of this visit was to sensitize school students about the cleanliness drive and to apprise them of the importance of health and hygiene.
Students of Wild Cats clan went to Rajkiya Prathmik Pathshala Maujpur to spread awareness about “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan”. A motivational Speech was delivered to the students on the cleanliness drive. Students were involved in various activities of songs, dance, sketching.
Token of appreciation were given to the students who performed well in the activities.
