Dr. Shivani Vashist, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English, at Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities, MRIIRS participated in the 22nd General Congress of ICLA at University of Macau, China held recently.

Many renowned researchers in Comparative Literature were invited:  Prof. Haun Saussy from University of Chicago; Prof. Theo D’haen from University of Leuven, Belgium; Prof. Longxi Zhang from University of Hong Kong, China; Mr. Timothy Mo, China; Prof. Shoutong Zho from University of Macau, China; and Prof. Liu Hongyi from Shenzhen University.

The main theme of the Congress was ‘Literature of the World and the Future of Comparative Literature’. This event served as a great platform for discussion of important issues in Comparative Literature and Literary Studies. Over 1500 participants from nearly forty countries participated in this, representing different parts of the world.
