MRIIC organized started workshops for Government School students
Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Centre (MRIIC) under its Corporate Social Responsibility has started a series of Workshops under the umbrella of Faridabad Education Council (FEC) for the students of Government Schools to create an awareness about the latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics etc. This activity has been conducted under the chairmanship of Hon’ble DG-Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, Dr. N.C. Wadhwa.
Under this initiative, the first workshop was conducted for the students of Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Old Faridabad recently. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Umesh Dutta, Director, MRIIC along with his team comprising of Dr. Abhiruchi Passi, Mr. Vikas Sharma and Mr. Rakesh Chaudhary.
The Workshop started on a welcome note by the Principal of the school, Mr. Vishnu Kumar. Thereafter, a session on Robotics along with its usage and applications was held by Dr. Umesh Dutta. The session was followed by a short Quiz wherein the boys participated enthusiastically and were given prizes by Dr. Umesh.
This was followed by a session on ‘How to design a Robot’ by Mr. Vikas Sharma, Research Associate, MRIIC. The students came to know about the essential components required to develop a Robot. After the lecture, a demo session was given by the team on how a Robot works. The workshop was attended by the students of Class 11th and 12th along with three faculty members of the school- Ms. Manisha Aggarwal from Chemistry Department; Mr. Manish Jain, and Ms. Ritu Dalal from Physics Department respectively.
Mr. Vishnu Kumar, Principal expressed his gratitude for conducting such informative Workshop and requested for conducting more such workshops in future for their students.
