MBA students participate in Women Entrepreneurship Event by Britannia
MBA students from Faculty of Management Studies got an opportunity to learn about the growth story at the Britannia Marie Gold Start up India Contest. This is India’s first- ever skill development programme customized for women with entrepreneurial aspirations, under which more than 10,000 women homemakers from across the country will undergo online certification in the year 2020. This initiative is supported by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
As a part of the event, students interacted with the CEO of the Niti Aayog- Mr. Amitabh Kant. He emphasized that the economy will get the much-needed impetus only when women are provided growth opportunities. Head of Marketing, Britannia Industries Limited- Mr. Vinay Subramanyam declared that Britannia believes in the potential of women homemakers in driving growth for the country’s success.
At the platform, the new TV commercial and packaging for Britannia Marie Gold was also launched. On this occasion, Dr. Manish Kumar, MD& CEO, NSDC reiterated that entrepreneurship and gig economy are the need of the hour. He told students about NSDC’s programmes and how NSDC looks forward to developing women entrepreneurs.
MBA students were motivated with the encouragement they received from experts and leading names in the areas of marketing and entrepreneurship. With Britannia being a coveted brand that draws affection from people across age groups, students look forward to connecting with the brand through the Startup India Contest.
