Manav Rachna University observed Vigilance Awareness Programme in collaboration with SAI
Faculty of Law, Manav Rachna University joins hands with Sports Authority of India (SAI) for Awareness Program and Student Elocution on “Vigilance”. The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) observes the Vigilance Awareness Week every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31st October) falls. This year, the VigilanceWeek is being observed on the theme- “Eradicate Corruption-Build a New India”.
A Vigilance Awareness Program organized at Faculty of Law witnessed the gracious presence of Sh. S.N. Gupta, CVC, SAI; Dr. Rajeev Sareen, DD Vigilance, SAI; and Smt. Manjushree Dayanand, Administrator, Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range. The program started with the Oath Taking Ceremony administered by Sh. S.N. Gupta and Smt. Manjushree Dayanand.
Dr. Rajeev Sareen gave a presentation on ‘Role of Vigilance in Day-to-Day Life’. Right from the introduction of vigilance, he apprised the audience with types of vigilance, vigilance tools, e-Governance, need of ethics, and organizational integrity. ‘If you are vigilant, we can achieve our goals; so be vigilant of yourself first’, he said. He shared the social infrastructure with students for fighting corruption.
Sh. S.N. Gupta advocated Zero Tolerance to Corruption and said that Corruption needs to be arrested immediately, and this is the aim of organizing Vigilance Awareness Week.
Addressing the students, Smt. Manjushree Dayanand said, “Apply vigilance on yourself”. She added, “Giving bribe to a patrolling officer is like co-partnering with them in their act.”
Students of Faculty of Law including Divya Mishra, Nikhil Thakur, Diksha Vashish, Madhvendra, Rahul malik, and Mansi Sharma shared their views on ‘Corruption-free India’.
The program motivated all the stakeholders to fight against corruption as the detrimental consequences of corruption were discussed and shared.
