Manav Rachna University is the Knowledge Partner for the Fifth World Congress on Disaster Management being held at IIT Delhi
Fifth World Congress on Disaster Management, an initiative of Disaster Management Initiatives and Convergence Society (DMICS) is being held at IIT Delhi from November 24 to 27, 2021. Manav Rachna University is the Knowledge Partner of this fifth World Congress which is being organised jointly by the Government of National Territory (GNCT) of Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, and Disaster Management Initiatives and Convergence Society (DMICS) Hyderabad, in collaboration with National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) New Delhi.
International and National Luminaries on the subject are deliberating on pertinent subjects such as Harnessing Science and Technology for Building Resilience to Disasters; Climate Resilience and Sustainability in Disaster Management, Assessing and Mitigating Risks of Landslides; and many more.
The second day shall comprise a session with leading academicians from Manav Rachna University.
The three-day event aims to promote interaction of science, policy, and practices to enhance understanding of risks and advance actions for reducing risks and building resilience to disasters.
