The Manav Rachna campus reverberated with soulful renditions of poetry and music presented by Sh. Vijai Vardhan (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana and Padamjeet Sehrawat as a mark of respect to all teachers on this teacher’s day.

This powerful recital was witnessed by senior officials including Sh. Hanif Qureshi, Commissioner of Police, Faridabad; Ms. Bharti Arora, IPS, IG Police; Ms. Sudha Chaudhary, Deputy Labour Commissioner of Gurugram; Mr. Vinod Kumar, IFS, Conservator Forests; Dr. Anshu Kumar and many other administrative officials. Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI); Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. N C Wadhwa, VC, MRIU and Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI along with the entire teaching fraternity of Manav Rachna was present on the occasion.

“Sajda is our gift to all the teachers on this teacher’s day. With this, we bow our heads with respect for the teaching community which has played a significant role in the development of the country”, said Dr. N C Wadhwa while welcoming the guests.

Mr. Vijai Vardhan, well known as an administrative leader is also a greatly appreciated poet. Remembering Dr.  O P Bhalla for his philanthropic work, Mr. Vijai Vardhan expressed gratitude for all his teachers who had taught him to love life and not to be overwhelmed by successes. “Every child deserves a champion, because every child is a champion. Every child deserves a teacher who will never give up on him. This is because teachers are not just educators but mentors who shape lives. We must remember that each one of us has been impacted by a teacher at some point in our lives. Sajda is a tribute to all those teachers”.

In the two-hour LIVE concert, Padamjeet Sehrawat also sang the song ‘Ladli’ which is about the girl child. Many old tracks and new chartbusters were a part of the blissful experience.

Mr. Padamjeet Sehrawat informed, “All these songs along with some of our old ones talk about gratitude towards teachers, the value of togetherness, respect for women, determination, etc. Our song Ladli talks about the girl child while the song Sir, We Love You is about the student-teacher bond.”
