Manav Rachna organizes International Conference on Machine Learning, Big Data, Cloud and Parallel Computing
Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Department of Computer Applications, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) have organized ‘International Conference on Machine Learning, Big Data, Cloud and Parallel Computing’- ComITCon 2019 from 14th Feb’19 to 16th Feb’19 which was inaugurated today. Dr. Vipin Tyagi, Executive Director, C-DOT, GoI was the Chief Guest for the day. Dr. B.N. Sarkar, Scientist-G, DST, and Dr. N.K. Garg, R-Systems were the Guests of Honour for the day. Keynote Speakers for the day were Dr. Niladri Chatterjee, IIT Delhi, and Dr. Charru Malhotra, IIPA, New Delhi.
Around 300 research papers have been submitted for the conference and more than 120 papers have been selected for the presentation at the conference.
Dr. Vipin Tyagi, Executive Director, C-DOT, GoI gave a presentation on ‘Telecommunication for New India’. “We are heading towards the age of ‘Cognitive Communication’”, he said. He shared the aspects of Communication Revolution 3.0: ‘Connect > Propel > Secure’ which Indian Government is focusing on. He emphasized the mission of Indian Government ‘Broadband For All’ and shared National Broadband Mission as well. He said, “The main aim of Indian Government through all this is to bridge the digital divide”. Total Private Communication, and Use of Fibre in Telecommunication were other aspects he talked about. He also shared the roadmap for 5G Standardization and Deployment. Emphasizing the topic of the conference, Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS said, “Machine Learning and Big Data are the burning topics of Industry Revolution 4.0
