Manav Rachna Life Skills Programme: Gender Sensitization
CLAN Water Sharks organized a day-long awareness camp on Gender Sensitization and Girl Education at the Mohna Girls Government School on November 20.
Dr. Priti Gupta, Dr. Roopa Rani and Dr. Chhavi Kulshreshtha (Vice Chief of the Clan) coordinated different activities along with 25 students from Department of Chemistry, MRU. The objective of the activity was to make the students understand the fact that equality is the essence of democracy. Democracy becomes hollow in the absence of equality. Through the activities, the students touched upon many issues related to the subject.
Students performed a Nukkad Natak, Poems and songs to sensitize the audience on the subject.
A Poster Making competition on Water Conservation was also organized by Clan Forest Rhinos on the occasion. Gifts were distributed to the winners to encourage them. The girl students of the school learnt a lot and gained confidence from the awareness camp. They expressed their dreams and seemed to be very excited.
