Manav Rachna enters into partnership with UNESCO-MGIEP to run a course for Competency-based Education
Manav Rachna University(MRU) has entered into a Partnership Agreement with UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) regarding SEEK (Self-directed Emotional Learning for Empathy and Kindness) recently. MoU was signed by Dr. Kameshwar Singh, Registrar, MRU and Dr. Anantha Duraiappah, Director UNESCO MGIEP. This MOU will pave the way for possibilities to run a course in collaboration for the Competency-based Education.
On this occasion, Prof. I K Bhat, Vice-Chancellor, MRU shared his views on various perspectives of Peace and the approach of Manav Rachna Institutes towards inculcating the attitude towards Peace and Sustainability. Dr Anantha Duraiappah conferred that Social-Emotional learning can be developed as a competency by training the mind which is the purpose of SEEK programme. Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor of Manav Rachna Institute of Research and Studies deliberated the efforts of Manav Rachna to develop character and competence among employees, students and society since its inception.
