Manav Rachna Centre for Dental Excellence conducted a WCLI Certification Laser CDE program from Augyst 5 – 7, 2021.

Dr. Nikhil Deshpande who’s a well renowned implantologist, aesthetic dentist and a Laser specialist from Mumbai was the guest speaker for 3 days. He gave brief insights about the basics of LASER in the field of dentistry, basic concepts and showcased the cases that helped all the participants to understand better.

Dr. Premila, who is a specialist in implantology cosmetic dentistry and a laser specialist from university of Genova gave a detailed presentation about laser physics and its applications in dental treatment. The presentation culminated with her various clinical cases where she documented the use of different kinds of Laser for management of various dental problems. The presentation was broadcasted using a zoom platform and was appreciated by all the participants.

Dr. Gaurav Jain who’s a well-known oral surgeon in Delhi, gave a brief intro regarding the Laser Safety in Dental practice. Dr. S. Sarvana Kumar, a Pediatric dentist was the guest speaker for the 1st day of module1; he gave an insight about the laser assisted pediatric dentistry and how to manage the most difficult pediatric patients with the use of Laser.

Last but not the least Dr. Ashish Kakar, who was the principal speaker for the session, gave us a tour of all the physics associated with the use of LASER different types of lasers used in dentistry. Using his case studies he also made us understand the choice of different lasers and its settings depending upon the individual patient needs.

Total of 11 participants benefited with expert knowledge and guidance in clinical situations. The Patient’s Clinical demo was performed by Dr. Gaurav & Dr. Ashish, where various clinical scenarios were discussed with the participants.
