Manav Rachna has always encouraged its students to think out-of-the-box in its efforts to ‘create better human beings’. With Manav Rachna Alumnus Gaurav Tanwar, MRIU Mechanical Engineering Batch (2009-13) making his literary debut through the launch of his book ‘Sinful Crossroads’ at the campus, there was ample evidence of the fact that Manav Rachna International University always prepares its students to be the best versions of themselves while emphasizing on holistic education.

While penning what Gaurav calls “a spiritual travel fiction”, this engineer-turned-author put together a story that has several interesting autobiographical elements. It is a book about two friends, who on their first ever outstation trip, are in for a joyride. ‘Sinful Crossroads’ in the words of Gaurav Tanwar  “is a story about a series of youthful adventures”. Ever grateful to Manav Rachna International University for “shaping him as an engineer” the 24-year-old MRIU Alumni feels that the Institution helped him to tackle every situation in the industry and lead from the front.

Tanwar’s book launch witnessed Padma Shree Jai Prakash Lekhiwal, miniature painting artist, as the Chief Guest on the occasion. Speaking about Gaurav Tanwar’s novel venture,   he said, “Writing a book is by no means an easy task and Gaurav’s courage in trying to make his mark on the literary firmament is highly commendable considering he is from the technical field. Like all forms of creativity, he seems to have poured his soul into his work so that it has become an extension of himself. I hope he reaches great heights even on the national scene.”

Congratulating Gaurav on his literary foray, Dr M.K. Soni, Executive Director & Dean, FET, MRIU, said, “It gives us immense pleasure to see our Alumni doing exceedingly well and daring to be different. Gaurav’s literary debut makes us realize that he is not afraid to take challenges head-on and realize his full potential and intellectual power. He is an engineer by livelihood but his new found role as an author will contribute greatly towards his success and career.”
