Makeathon was an event where students have to convert the idea into a prototype in a 24 hour time span. In total, around 100 teams from various prestigious institutions of the country had applied for this event and finally 29 teams were selected for the final rounds of IESA-Makeathon 2018. Team TECH KINS from MRIIC has made us proud by securing the first position in this tough fought Makeathon event. Team TECH KINS comprising four students-Devdutt, Ishlok, Dhruv and Shubhi developed an intelligent system that aimed at minimizing the chances of workers being electrocuted at industries. After winning the competition, Team TECH KINS said: “It is thrilling to convert a raw idea into a prototype in just 24 hours as it tests not just your abilities but also your team work skills”. Students were awarded with US$ 500 worth of Amazon Web Services coupon + US$ 500 worth of Digital Ocean credits.
Congratulating the winners, Mr. Ashwini K Aggarwal, Chairman, IESA commented, “Innovation has no limits, it could be creating something from scratch or just enhancing something to make it more efficient. The developers should definitely continue to innovate and create something new and better with every attempt. As an industry body, we are extremely proud to recognize such determination and acknowledge these efforts. We are always focused on keeping them inspired so that they keep up with their efforts. We applaud their success and believe that with such scale of innovation and such talent, India will soon become the global technology and manufacturing hub, with the right support”.
