Lokesh Rajput, M.Sc student of MRIU’s Nutrition and Dietetics, is among the top 5 in the Mr Universe 2016 Contest held in Padova, Italy!
Manavite Lokesh Rajput has fulfilled not just his own dreams and aspirations but has become the role model of a whole generation of youngsters in Delhi-NCR who are now looking to him for inspiration and guidance. An M.Sc student of MRIU’s Nutrition and Dietetics, Lokesh is among the top 5 in the Mr Universe 2016 Contest held in Padova, Italy, where he bagged the Fourth position in the Mr Men Fitness and Mr HP Men Body Fitness categories. The Competition, a closely contested affair, had 62 countries vying for the top slot. For Rajput, it was his grit and determination which saw him conquering the Universe, as he bagged the fourth position beating Italy on the world stage, preceded only by Turkey, Holland and Germany.
His tryst with fame is however not new. Earlier in the year, Rajput took on the world when he bagged top honours as Mr World Fitness Model in Slovenia where he went on to win the prized Silver trophy and the Second position in June, 2016. Overnight he was catapulted to the limelight as he walked shoulder to shoulder with participants from 43 countries. What’s more, he had also won a silver trophy at the Mr Physique competition on the same day, making him a chief contender for the Mr Universe Championship held in Italy more recently.
Ecstatic with his win in Italy, Lokesh recalls, “My joy knew no bounds when I held aloft the Indian national tricolor. I was proud to be an Indian all over again and overwhelmed with the love and respect that I received from both India and abroad. I also owe a world of gratitude to my mentors at Manav Rachna for their selfless support which gave me immense strength to win over the title.”

Lokesh, who is originally from Ladholi village, Ballabhgarh, remains at heart a true son of the soil. He is a Certified Trainer from the Gold Gym University for Fitness and has also trained in gymnastics to enhance his muscle strength. With a view to breaking into Bollywood and make acting his calling, Lokesh will however not give academics a miss as he is keen to complete his academics and do a Masters in Nutrition & Dietetics at MRIU.
