Live Interaction Session with Yogacharya Manoj Kumar- An International Yoga Guru
Department of Student’s Welfare, MRIIRS hosted Live Interaction Session with Yogacharya Manoj Kumar- An International Yoga Guru on Impact of Yoga asana, Pranayam, and Meditation on the body on June 21, 2020, to mark International Yoga Day. He is currently posted at Indian Mission in Madrid, Spain as Teacher India Culture and Yoga (TIC) deputed by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi. For the last 14 years, he has practiced Yoga with various Yoga schools at the National and International level. He specializes in ‘Ashtanga Yoga’.
More than 300 plus people registered to be part of the workshop. The workshop was attended by students, faculty members, staff, and people from different organizations as well.
Yogacharaya Manoj Kumar introduced various breathing exercises to the audience and advised various asanas and pranayamas to people suffering from hypertension, backache, numbness in the body. He also discussed the importance of yoga in daily life.
He also answered various questions asked by the audience. Towards the end, he said that like every human being needs water, air and food to survive similarly our body organs need asanas and pranayamas to survive.
Dr Gurjeet Kaur Chawla expressed gratitude to the guests, honourable dignitaries, participants and management for their kind support.
