Legal Education in the BRICS
BRICS is the commonly used acronym used for an association of five emerging national economies comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. This webinar was a manifestation of academic cooperation between institutes of higher learning from BRICS countries. The Faculty of Law along with South Ural State University (Russia), Wuhan University (China), University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (South Africa) were co-hosts to this webinar hosted by the Brazilian Centre for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA).
The theme of the webinar was “Legal Education in the BRICS” and the panelists were Professor Elizaveta Gromova (South Ural State University, Russia), Professor Ajay Thomas (Manav Rachna University, India), Professor Qin Tianbao (Wuhan University, China), Professor David McQuoid-Mason (University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa), and Professor Daniel Brantes Ferreira (Vice President for Academic Affairs, CBMA).
