Legal Aid and Awareness Camp
Faculty of Law organized a Legal Aid and Awareness Camp, in association with District Legal Services Authority, Faridabad at MRU Campus recently.
Law Students sensitized the staff, faculty and students of other departments about their Rights and duties under various statutes including Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007; Consumer Rights, Right to information, FIR (First Information Report), Free Legal Aid, Right to Education, etc. Advocates from DLSA had a session with the law students as part of their clinical legal education and then addressed personal queries of around 30 persons, mainly the support staff of Manav Rachna who profited immensely by availing free legal advice in campus.
The Manav Rachna LEGAL AID CLINIC aims to create awareness at the grass root level and equip individuals, especially the vulnerable sections of society to realize their Rights and enabling access to Justice through seminars, camps and taking up their issues to DLSA while helping them to avail free legal aid.
