Launch of the inaugural edition of ‘Allurance’: The e-magazine of Manav Rachna University
The maiden issue of E- Magazine “ALLURANCE” of Manav Rachna University was launched virtually on June 5th, 2021, Saturday on the occasion of 48th World Environment Day by Vice-Chairman, AICTE, Dr. M.P. Poonia. The launch happened in the presence of the senior dignitaries of MREI, Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Hon’ble D.G MREI, Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Hon’ble Vice-chancellor MRIIRS & MD MREI, Dr. I.K Bhat, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor MRU, Dr. Kameshwar Singh, Registrar MRU, Dr. Sangita Banga, Dean Academics MRU, Dr. Pradeep K Varshney, Dean Research MRU, Editorial Board Team members, along with respective Deans, Directors, Head of the Departments, faculty, and students.
The event commenced by welcoming the guests and presenting saplings to them in a virtual mode which was further continued by a virtual lamp lighting ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sangita Banga welcomed the participants and apprised the audience about Manav Rachna University and the various opportunities available to students at MRU. Dr. Pradeep K Varshney addressed the participants about the importance of launching the digital magazine “ALLURANCE” on World Environment Day, enlightened them about the concept of “ALLURANCE”, and introduced the efforts of the enthusiastic team behind it.
The e-magazine was launched and unveiled by Prof. M P Poonia, and during the event, glimpses of the magazine were displayed for the benefit of participants. Thereafter, Prof. Poonia delivered his special address and informed the audience about various activities being carried out at AICTE to ensure students get quality education. He started with an amazing reference to Mahatma Gandhi and the importance of being connected to the roots. He talked about how Indian students excel in the world yet lack behind in terms of decision making, aptitude, and problem-solving abilities. These results were found in a survey, conducted by Stanford University when comparing 11th, 12th class students of Russia and China with Indian students.
