An Awareness Seminar on IPR was organized on 13th September, 2019 for 150 participants including faculty and students (UG & PG) from FET, FAS and FDS. The speakers for the seminar were Mr. Rahul Bagga, Director at Adastra IP, India and Malaysia and Mr.  Sandeep Aggarwal, Co-Founder, Director, Adastra IP.

The speakers apprised the audience about the types of intellectual properties and gave a brief description of each.  The speakers shared their knowledge on IP matters, patents in particular, in field of biotechnology, genomics, molecular biology, medtech, agritech, pharma, chemistry, life sciences, healthcare, and other allied sciences across multiple jurisdictions.

The spoke about how India’s leading Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies manage their global patent portfolios. They also gave an insight into opinions on freedom-to-operate, patent oppositions, invalidations and revocations. The seminar was very informative and interactive.
