Invited talk: Value Added Series by PhD Office MRU
Manav Rachna University Doctoral Program Office organized an invited talk on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) under the Value Added Lecture Series for the PhD Scholars and Faculty Members of MRU. The talk was held on 29th April 2017 in the PhD Smart Class room. The speaker of the session was Dr. Patrali Banerjee (Associate Professor, Chemistry Department and IPR Head, MRIIC). Dr. Banerjee has more than 8 years of experience in handling IPR related issues and has a vast experience of working with E. I. DuPont India Pvt. Ltd. The lecture was preceded by an introductory speech by Ph.D. Program Leader, Dr. Megha Mittal. The lecture introduced the basics of IPR to the enthusiastic group of Scholars and Faculty members who are the future of Manav Rachna.
The lecture covered all the basic terminologies used in the field of IPR with relevant analogies to address the audience and to make the session of great relevance to scholars of diverse streams. During the interactive session, Dr. Banerjee answered important questions about how to protect our intellect and draw value out of our hard work. These are very important questions to be answered in today’s competitive world! The presentation addressed these questions, and also introduced the newly formed IP Cell. She talked about what processes that Manav Rachna intends to follow to help its faculty and scientists/students/staff to do all the above.
