A team of 6th Semester B.Tech CSE with Specialization in Data Science & Machine Learning, Manav Rachna University was selected for Six weeks’ Summer Internship Program with Xebia, the industry partner of the specialization.

This was an Agile Project team led by Xebia Project Manager along with an Internal Faculty Guide, Prof Susmita Ray. The team followed SCRUM and XP (Extreme Programming Practices) practices with the conduct of Daily Standup Meeting, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospection meeting.

The team worked on a project of developing a Music Analysis System which involved the building of Deep Learning models on audio data going through the steps of data cleansing, pre-processing, EDA – the complete data engineering process followed by building, training, and validation of Deep Learning models.

The project team delivered the project on time meeting the acceptance criteria and agreed quality standards. The project required a lot of research work, online brainstorming in war rooms to find solutions to the challenges and constraints faced. The deliverables were produced at a professional level and as per industry standards. The project Manager of Xebia was highly appreciative of the deliverables, project approach followed, the alternative solutions proposed, tried out and the accuracy of the final deep learning model built.

According to him, the team exceeded his expectations. Overall this internship project imparted to the team a rich experience of industry project with lots of learning and exposure in the niche technology areas of Deep Learning, Big Data handling and Cloud Computing Platforms.
