To celebrate the International Womensday, a series of events were organized across the campus at Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) today.

The highlight of the celebrations was the enactment of ‘Prashn Panchali’- Mahabharata in fast forward by acclaimed actor Ms. Preeta Thakur. Prashn Panchali is authored by Sunita Budhiraja and directed by Dinesh Thakur, set to Amod Bhatt’s music. Prashn Panchali is a brave one-woman play where Draupadi confronts the audience’s ingrained cultural perceptions. As Draupadi questions, her relationships and situations find an easy echo in the life situations of today’s women. The solo enactment left the audience speechless.

The book ‘Prashn Panchali’ authored by Sunita Budhiraja was launched on the occasion in the presence of Ms. Rashmi Malik, Director, SPICMACAY; Dr. N C Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS; Dr. Chavi Bhargava Sharma, Dean FBSS, MRIIRS and other senior dignitaries. Another book titled ‘Tulsiwadi’ authored by Ms. Pooja Atul Kumar (alumni of MREI) was also launched. This marked the culmination of the three-day event ‘Swayam Siddha’ organised by Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences under the aegis of Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation.
