International Summer School 2017, LAMK
International Summer School 2017 opens amidst excitement
The International Summer School 2017 at Lahti University of Applied Sciences (LAMK), Finland, started with excitement and ice breaking Welcome – Getting to know each other followed by team building activities.
The participating countries include England, Belgium, Russia, Mexico, Finland and India (Manav Rachna International University). The disciplines have been divided into groups and have been allotted development projects (based on environmental and urban issues) under various themes like:
Let’s Go to the Forest – Lapakisto Forest, Lahti (Teacher guides – Annamaija Id-Korhonen and Nidhi Didwania
Enonsaari/Food Garden – Lahti UAS campus M19 (Teacher guides – Minna Ulmala & Meena Kapahi)
Experience Travel – Heinola (Teacher guides – Noora Nylander & Markus Kretschmer)
Small Business in World Wide Web – Puhepuu (Teacher guide – Tarja Keski-Mattinen)
The two-week program is aimed for the students of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels. It offers courses in environmental issues with either technical, business, design or social and health care background.
