Internal Hackathon Avishkar 2020 was organized at Manav Rachna University recently. As per MHRD Innovation Cell-AICTE directive, a team of technical experts from industry were invited as judges to the campus to evaluate the implementation of technical solutions to specific problem statements demonstrated by several competing teams of the Engineering students. From all the participant teams, a total of 7 teams (5 software teams and 2 hardware teams) were nominated for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2020 registration.

A total of 13 teams (11 software teams and 2 hardware teams) participated in the competition and there were a total of 15 competing technical solutions (12 software solutions and 3 hardware solutions) demonstrated by the teams. Mr. Sidharth Borkataky, Technical Specialist, Design Tech Systems Ltd. (Altair Engineering); Mr. Pushkar Vohra, Technical Specialist, Dotspot; and Mr. Kshitij Sharma, Product Owner, Ericsson were the three judges.

Teams which have been selected for SIH 2020 are as follows:

Team Apostles (Project: Elderly Care System), Team Runtime Terror (Project on Improving Health Facilities in India), Team Lucifers (Project: Mobile game for Alzheimer’s Disease detection), Team The Watchers (Project: Vehicle recognition and compilation in database software), Team Renaissance (Project: Use of Al-based Chatbots for providing health-related information), Team Rakshak (Project: Soldier Strap), and Team Super Squad (Project: Warm patient mattress).
