An interactive session on Machine Learning and Brain-Computer Interface was conducted by Mr. Sujit Roy for the third and fourth-year students of CSE Department at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. The session was focused mainly on the discussion about “Can A Single Model Deep Learning Approach Enhance Classification Accuracy Of An EEG-Based Brain-Computer Interface? (IEEE SMC 2019)”.
He explained his work on Brain Signal Mapping) where he has designed a prediction-based model of motor movements for controlling robotic exoskeleton by stroke patients using MEG/EEG signals which includes algorithm developments for improving classification in real-time BCI systems.
His presentation was followed by a Q&A session to clear doubts regarding deep learning, merits of pre-trained models vs convolution neural networks (CNN) and Adam optimization method. The session was concluded with Mr. Sujit Roy being presented a token of appreciation by Dr. Suresh Kumar on behalf of the CSE Department.
