Under the Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme, a factory visit was conducted for the participants on March 1, 2019 to Vyomini Enterprise at Sultanpur Mazra, Delhi. This social enterprise was started in 2017 by Ms. Prachi Kaushik, a woman entrepreneur, who is working extensively in the area for women education and empowerment. She conceived the idea of “Rakshak”, India’s first low cost biodegradable and herbal sanitary napkin which will not only be easily accessible but also affordable.

All the participants were explained the entire process of making biodegradable sanitary napkins and each of them including the faculty members were given hands on experience in it. Ms Prachi also interacted with the participants on menstrual health management. It was a very encouraging, informative and valuable interaction for all.
