Industrial Visit to Vita Milk Plant – Ballabhgarh
The Department of Management & Commerce, Faculty of Management and Humanities, Manav Rachna University organized an industry visit for students of BBA (Finance & Accounts) II semester to Vita Milk Plant, Sec-2 Ballabgarh. About 45 students visited the plant along with Prof Arindam Chatterjee, Prof Pragati Chauhan and Prof Pooja Kapoor. The students were given a presentation on the history of Vita Milk Plant which was established as the Dairy Corporation in 1970 and continued active functioning till 31.03.1977. Thereafter its business was taken over by the Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Ltd. (HDDCF) which is engaged in procurement and processing of milk and manufacturing of milk products under the famous market brand “Vita”.
HDDCF is based on the three-tier Anand Pattern of Milk Co-operatives with objective to promote socio-economic interests of milk producers of Haryana State particularly those belonging to the economically weaker section. The students very actively walked through the plant with the officials who explained the whole process of manufacturing and packaging of milk and other milk products.
