A guest lecture was organized by the Department of English, FMeH on ‘Modernism and the Modern English Literature’ on Aug 24, 2018. The lecture was delivered by Sh. Krishnan Unni, Associate Professor, Dept. of English, Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi. He was welcomed by Dr. Shivani Vashist, HOD-English and was introduced to the students. The speaker is a creative prolific writer of articles and poetry in English and Malayalam. His novel has recently won Abu Dhabi Shakti award.

Sh. Unni discussed matters ranging from the Enlightenment Age to the Victorian Morality, cultural importance of the Royal Society of London, issues of the Western warfare, civility etc., the trends of the Modern and then the Post-Modern poetry. The lecture continued for more than one hour and was followed by Questions and Answers.  Students of M.A English and B.A (Hons.) English 5^th Semester enjoyed the session to the hilt.
