Guest Lecture at MRU
Department of Management and Commerce organized a Guest Lecture by Ms Sucheta Kalra, Senior consultant at KPMG, for the students of BBA Finance and Accounts. Ms Sucheta Kalra is a certified public accountant (CPA) and an expert in US taxation, US GAAP and IFRS. She is currently associated with KPMG as senior consultant- Global Mobility Services, responsible for tax and regulatory compliances for globally mobile individuals. Ms Kalra shared with the students her financial experiences during current work span with KPMG. She conducted an interactive session with the students on activity based accounting taking real live examples, different set of costs, cost determination process, cost allocation and what are the pros and cons of allocating the different types of cost on the basis of activity costing for individuals and firms/companies.
It was an engaging and interactive session as the students were advised about the career opportunities in financial services sectors.
