FET Talent Hunt : 12-13th July 2016
In order to welcome the youngest members of the Manav Rachna Family, the new batch of Engineering students and to facilitate their stepping into college life, a Talent Hunt was organized as a part of the orientation programme by Department of Students Welfare, MRIU.
The event was conducted on 12th and 13th of July 2016 for Group – A and Group – B respectively in A block Auditorium. The student anchors, Athang Potwar (3rd year B. Tech Mech., FET) and Sonal Prasad (3rd year B. Tech CSE, FET) made the crowd feel comfortable by sharing their own experiences and motivated them to volunteer and showcase their talent in the fields of dance, music, acting, etc. Various interactive games added to the joy and cheerfulness of the celebration.
A flashback video comprising of the major events and activities organized by DSW was also shown in addition to the brief description of the department by the team members. Team Resurrection 2k16 also showcased their activities through a video and other details were given by Divyanshu Huriya, Nishu Goel and Sakshi Gupta, Fest Coordinators of Resurrection 2k16 who shared their experiences and provided details about the Biggest Cultural Event of the campus to the new entrants through a video.
A few senior students and members of different groups of Department of Students Welfare also performed in order to boost and entertain the freshers.
Dr. M. K. Soni, ED & Dean FET, MRIU and Dr. Pradeep Varshney, Associate Director, FET graced the occasion by their presence along with some senior Faculty members of FET, MRIU. Prof. I. K. Kilam, Dean Students Welfare was present althrough and encouraged the students to showcase their talents and also motivated them to take part in co-curricular activities and develop their all round personality in addition to the academics.
Among the students who volunteered and showcased their talent during the Talent Hunt were Vishal Sharma (B. Tech CSE), Mayank Goel (B. Tech Mech.), Jinesh Jain (B. Tech CSE), Tanvi Sharma (B. Tech CSE), Erika (B. Tech CSE), Sankalp Gautam (B. Tech Mech.), Simar (B. Tech Electrical), Prince Bansal (B. Tech Civil) and Stuti Mehra (B. Tech CSE).
