Department of Mechanical Engineering, MRIIRS organized a Felicitation Programme for academically bright students & performing faculty and staff members along with inauguration of clubs Dynamech & Mechtek, on the eve of 73^rd Independence Day. The programme commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony and was followed by the release of brochure of the clubs- Dynamech & Mechtek by Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, DG-MREI; Dr M.K. Soni, Pro-VC, MRIIRS; Dr Grover, Dean Academics; Dr Geeta Nijhawan, Associate Dean FET; Dr Manu Srivastava, HOD Mechanical; Dr Manoj Nayak, Professor & Faculty members- Mr Bhupinder & Mr Vinay.

Students were felicitated for academic excellence by the esteemed guests. Dr N.C. Wadhwa addressed the audience and emphasized upon the importance of motivation & hard work. Dr M.K. Soni stressed on the importance of teamwork & proper guidance by faculty members. Dr Grover praised Mechanical Engineering department for being active & mentioned about the innovation club established by the department. Dr Grover felicitated the performing faculty members & staff for their contribution to the university.

The event was also graced by the presence of Dr Sanjay Srivastava, VC-MRIIRS & Dr Bhat, VC-MRU.

Dr Manu Srivastava elaborated the functions of Mechtek & Dynamech club and emphasised on the “student first” policy of the department. She praised students, faculty & staff for outstanding contribution.

Dr Sanjay Srivastava addressed the students and said: “Everyone makes mistakes in life but learning from these mistakes is extremely important”. Dr. Bhat talked about the importance of mechanical engineering in the development of a country. He emphasised that hard work is very important in life & only hard work leads to success.
