Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad has organized a Virtual Faculty Development Program (FDP), 2021 on “Outlook over Research Writing and Publication Process” from 13th – 18th December 2021. Various research scholars, academicians, scientist and clinicians attended the FDP.

Prof. (Dr.) G L Khanna, PVC, MRIIRS expressed his views on the research that enhances the professional growth. Guest of Honor- Dr. Rajni Malik, Registrar, Haryana State Council of Physiotherapy gave the inaugural speech. She shared that well-conducted research should be documented with good ethics. It should be documented or published otherwise it is a waste of hard work.

Dr. Krithiga Sridhar, Scientist, Epidemiologist, Public Health Foundation of India was the eminent speaker. She explained about writing research proposal, research paper and dissertation. She explains that the research proposal is so important for the getting grant from different funding agencies. She explains the steps of writing the proposal from title, background, aims/objectives, methods, feasibility, risk and budget justifications. Similarly, she explains the each and every steps of manuscript writing and dissertation writing.

Dr. Srujana Medith, Assistant Professor, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Symbiosis International Institute explained about the Literature Review and shared that it is a understanding the framework of previous work done, collecting it and synthesizing it. She explained different approaches to conducting a literature review are systematic review, semi-systematic review and integrative review. She also discussed about the conceptual research framework. It is a systematic representation of the actions needed to conduct a research study.

A total of 90 participants attended the first two days of the Faculty Development Programme.
