FDP on “Advances in Research Methodology and Data Analysis”
Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) organized a 3-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Advances in Research Methodology and Data Analysis” recently. The FDP was designed to make participants understand the intricacies of the research process.
Dr. NC Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS; Dr V.K Mahna, ED, Academic Excellence, MREI; and Dr. Sarita Sachdeva, Dean FAS & Research presided over the inaugural ceremony. Prof. (Dr.) N.K Chadha, Chairperson, Doctoral Programs & Dean-International Relations, MRIIRS conducted a session on “Nature of Data & its Treatment. Dr. Gayatri Vishwakarma, HOD-Biostatistics Department, Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi shed light on “Various Tools used in Data Analysis” during the sessions.
Dr. Shruti Chopra, Assistant Professor, Amity Institute of Pharmacy conducted two sessions on “The roadmap to presenting & proposing research” and “Manuscript writing, project submission and funding from agencies”. Dr Amit Bhatia gave a talk on “Tools of successful translational research” and “Meta-analysis & levels of evidence in research”.
More than 40 faculty members from various departments of MRIIRS and Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi attended the programme. It was a good learning experience for everyone.
