FAREWELL 2019: Hasta La Vista
Infused with a feeling of good will and well wishes for the departing students of 2015 batch, the juniors (third year students) of MRIIRS from Faculty of Engineering and Technology organized a farewell party for the former recently. The high spirited event saw the participation of over 500 students who did justice to the ambiance with a display of their impeccable talents in dance and music.
Wishing much success upon the senior batch students for their future endeavors, the event was a tribute felicitated upon them for the years spent together in the premises of Manav Rachna as one united family.
The event saw an august gathering at the venue by Dr. M. K. Soni (PVC MRIIRS), Mr. R. K. Arora (Registrar MRIIRS), and Dr. Geeta Nijhawan (Assoc Dean FET) along with all the HODs and respected faculty members of FET.
The students took lead with the first performance from Manjeet who mesmerized the gathering with his melodious voice. The euphony was very well received by all. Students took over the ramp with their unbridled energy as the next performance of the event followed by a skit performance by the students.
Being done away with the performances, the next task was to choose Mr. and Ms. Farewell amongst a set of highly talented and competitive students. The distinguished panel of judges, Dr. Abhiruchi (HOD ECE dept.), Dr. Jyoti Chawla (HOD Chemistry dept.), Ms. Bindiya (CSE dept.) and Mr. Ram Pravesh (Automobile dept.) reached a consensus to designate Angad Singh (ECE) and Diksha Bhati (ECE) as Mr. and Ms. Farewell respectively for the said event.
The best dressed female and male titles were bestowed upon Shanem Tanwar (Biotech), Mr. Gurpreet Singh Kukreja (Biotech). Mr. Mandeep of the Automobile department was adjudged the best ramp walk performer of the event. Mr. Bhishm Juneja (CSE dept.) was awarded for the most prominent impromptu act.
The event concluded with photo shoots, JAM sessions and scrumptious food arranged for the event.
