Faculty Development Program on Python Programming
Department of Computer Science and Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Manav Rachna University organized a Faculty Development Program on Python Programming from 5th – 7th April, 2018 for Computer Teachers of Manav Rachna International Schools. The FDP was aimed to acquaint the participants with Python language and make them comfortable with the new curriculum prescribed by CBSE for Class XI and XII.
Trainers for the FDP included Prof. Hanu Bhardwaj, HoD, CST; Prof Jyoti Pruthi, Associate HoD, CST; and Prof Mamta Arora, Technical Coordinator. The FDP started with an ice-breaking session that included an introduction of trainers and participants. Participants were apprised about the capabilities and applications of Python language. The FDP covered the basics of Python programming, Control Structures, Data Structures, Functions, Modules, Packages and Exception Handling. The were highly interactive and were loaded with hands-on experiences, quizzes and assignments to get the complete understanding of the topic.
Participants from Manav Rachna International Schools across Faridabad, Gurugram and Noida participated with full enthusiasm. CST team members were appreciated and participants were acknowledged for their involvement in the learning process by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor, MRU; Dr. Meenakshi S. Khurana, Pro Vice-Chancellor; and Ms. Goldy Malhotra, Director-MRIS Academic Excellence Team.
Participants were quite happy and satisfied with the knowledge gained and thanked the trainers for such a great initiative.
