Extending Warm Welcome to Parents on Orientation Day 1
The exclusive session with parents to familiarize them with Manav Rachna on the Day 1 of orientation started with warm welcome and a short video.
Dr. Dipali Bansal, Director IQAC and Associate Dean Academics, explained about the functions of various departments including the Central Units. Dr. Sarita Sachdeva, Dean Research highlighted and explained the culture of research and innovation in the University and how the students are motivated right from the first year to think and innovate.
That helped the parents in understanding the innovation focused education which functions best with the concept of experiential learning.
Dr.Gurjeet Kaur Chawla Associate Professor and Associate Dean Students Welfare explained about various cultural societies of the University, with live examples she explained how students get motivated and fascinated towards these societies. She ensured the parents understand that their wards will get ample opportunities to nurture their creative side and would be encouraged to pursue the path they choose to.
Dr. Geeta Nijhawan Associate Dean FET talked about the academics and discipline. She requested parents for their full support and cooperation during their full 4 years of studies. Dr. Naresh Grover Dean Academics explained about prevailing ERP and Credit systems to the parents. He highlighted and requested the parents to be connected with University System through ERP so that they can keep the track of their Ward’s performance.
Dr. M. K. SONI, PVC, MRIIRS after talking about his journey with Manav Rachna gave an overall functioning of the University. He also highlighted the fact that for the bright and successful career of the student, a strong partnership and association between teachers and students should be maintained. He also emphasized on the fact that it is overall personality development of the students which helps them to get better placements and opportunities in future.
Dr. Sanjay Shrivastava, VC, MRIIRS concluded the session by showering his blessings on the students and extended his welcome to the parents for sparing their valuable time for the induction. He requested them to be friends with their wards and at the same time to be vigilant during their tenure.
