Excellence was aced and fun and frolic continued at the grand finale of Zenith, ace the excellence, the flagship semester culmination event which was organized under the broader canvas of Manav Rachna Career Development Centre. The event was a grand success, unleashing the creative spirit of the participants. It was an event designed in cerebral incubation. From tests of language to parameters of mind, from the zenith of self-debate to peaks of swiftness, we saw it all and then some! With more than 400 participants from MRIU ; 1000 strong audience, it was a pan-department program that saw what a combination of intellect and enthusiasm could do. 2nd Semester saw 1300 students’ enthusiastically taking part in the Epilogue. With the preliminary screening, 200 students reached the consecutive Poem writing & recitation and Radio jingle quarter finals. The electrifying finale gave the contenders a tough time. The event had also roused the interest of the academic fraternity, who showed up in formidable numbers, enjoying in the ambience whipped in the creative theme. CDC has transformed Zenith from a mere ‘Activity’ to a well planned and coordinated corporate affair. Brainstorming sessions turning into Debates and then escalating into arguments, were all part of the theme imparting important lessons on leadership, teamwork, coordination, and financial management.
The high point of the event was the intriguing Foreign Language Quiz with the students from Centre of Foreign Languages putting in their best foot forward. This was followed by Quiz on Aptitude and Mental ability involving students from different branches of Engineering and Management of 4th and 6th semester. The meritorious lot went ahead for a hard-hitting battle in Presentation skills competition. Finally the Case Study based Group discussion by the enthusiastic Chieftains of Sem VI on the topic ‘How can the modern day youth add value to the “Make in India” mission and make it a huge success for generations to come’ captivated the audience completely. Students were extremely enthusiastic to participate, with all of them agreeing that the event had immensely helped them to boost their self confidence and oratory skills. The jury hailed the top-brass of the University. Namely Prof. I.K. Kilam, (Dean – DSW), Dr. Sridhar Kanan, (Head – Department of Orthodontics, MRDC), Dr. Pooja Anand (Head – Department of Physiotherapy, FAS), Dr. Manoj Nayak (Head – Department of Mechanical Engineering), Dr. Suresh Nayak ( Associate Prof. and Head – FMeH, MRIU), Dr. Amit Seth (Professor, FCBS) who not only judged the students but gave them valuable inputs so as to better their future prospects. The program gained special attention by the gracious presence of Ms. Gauri Bhasin (Head – CDC) with her reverence, infusing the sparks of spirited encouragement among all the students. All the winners were awarded Goodies and Certificates. The students were delighted to see the evidence of the journey travelled.
