The Keynote address by Mr. Arvind P. Datar comprised of anecdotes from his personal journey as a legal practitioner and examples of other legal luminaries to motivate law students to emulate their life practices, including goal setting, perfect practice of 10,000 hours and language proficiency. In his presidential address, Justice B.D. Ahmed explained the dichotomy between Law and Justice and equated it to asymptote to bring home the point that the future lawyers/jurists must always strive towards achieving justice. He relevantly quoted Benjamin Franklin to say that Justice Will Not Be Served Until Those Unaffected Are As Outraged As Those Who Are, to further highlighted the rule of law as a guiding constitutional principle to realize right of each individual. The talks served to enrich and inspired the students and faculty alike to endeavour towards imbibing the values enshrined in our Constitution.
