The Department of Economics, Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences (FBSS), MRIIRS under ECOnomads (the Economics Society of Manav Rachna) organized a Talk on “E-Commerce and Entrepreneurship” recently. The talk was conducted by Mr. Devesh Rai G, Founder and CEO, Wydr.in. He has over 20 years of experience and has been the Founding Member and Corporate VP of ShopClues. He also has experience in steering marketing, product management and advertising departments in  media and advertising industries. The session was highly interactive with students asking questions. The talk touched various dimensions of ecommerce and entrepreneurship in India including the evolution of E-commerce, opportunities offered and challenges faced by the Indian E-commerce industry, government support through schemes like Make in India and Skill India. Budding entrepreneurs gained knowledge about basic requirements, operational priorities and above all, the conviction and hard work necessary for being a successful entrepreneur.
