Department of Computer Science & Technology, Manav Rachna University organized an expert talk on ‘Embrace Challenges & Work Together to get Success’ for 1st Year and 2nd Year B.Tech. CSE/IT students. The speaker of the day was Prof. Nathaniel. G. Martin, Professor, CST Dept., MRU. Prof. Martin is M.S(CSE) from University of Florida and PhD from University of Rochester. In addition to vast teaching experience, he was also the Principle investigator on a research grant from DARPA. He also has 18 US Patents to his credit.

The session laid emphasis on the techniques (Test Driven Development, github, cunit, product backlogs …) to acquaint the students about the latest requirements of the industry. Prof. Martin discussed Scrum, product backlog, sprint review and retrospective. He also motivated students to practice these techniques to reduce the gap between  academia and  industry. Prof. Martin bestowed some practical tips to students to enhance their project development skills using Agile Methodology. The session was interactive and all the students participated enthusiastically. It was  overall a great learning experience and exposure to the latest industry trends.
