The dragonfly count, a month long program with the explicit purpose of highlighting the status of dragonflies in NCR, was conducted at Manav Rachna University campus by Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary, Conservation Education Centre, Bombay Natural History Society (CEC, BNHS). Delhi has over 51-recorded species of dragonflies and damselflies.

Dr. Ishtiyak Ahmad (Education officer) gave a presentation on status of dragonflies and damselflies count which was followed by Dragonfly Movie Screening and Field Visit for count. Students gained awareness on the life cycle of dragonflies and ecological role played by this winged beauty. The students promised to create ponds to attract dragonflies.
