Department of Mechanical Engineering has organized ICT based Short-term course on “Advanced Manufacturing Methods”
Over the past few decades, manufacturing has evolved from a more labor-intensive process, i.e. traditional manufacturing to a sophisticated information-technology-based process, i.e. advanced manufacturing. With the advancement of technology, new materials, energy sources, manufacturing technology, and management techniques have been developed. This emergence has resulted in the usage of advanced technology of manufacturing in the industries.
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) is organizing ICT based short term course on ‘Advanced Manufacturing Methods’ in collaboration with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR-Chandigarh) from 5th to 9th March, 2018.
The course will cover topics such as Wire Electro Discharge Machining, New Trends in MFG Processes, Electro Discharge Machining of Ti Alloys, Hybrid Machining Processes, Microwave Machining, Reconfigurable manufacturing systems, Advanced MGF Techniques and Latest Techniques in Machining.
This course endeavors to provide an opportunity to the participants to learn and appreciate the technology options in the field of Advanced Manufacturing Methods.
