Alumni Speaks!

Department of Computer Science and Technology, Manav Rachna University organized an Alumni talk on ‘Career Perspectives’ recently. The talk was delivered by Mr. Virat Bhandari and Ms. Sakshi Verma, Alumni of B.Tech. IT 2006-2010 and was attended by B.Tech. CSE second year students.

Mr. Virat Bhandari is a Business Analyst at Acuris Global in London. As a Masters in Data Science, he is working with Editorial and Research Data Product Owner as well as the BI team to manage the requirements on initiatives to improve coverage, develop leads and improve readership/usage.

Ms. Sakshi Verma is currently working with British Telecom in London as a CRM Recommendation Rule Writer. She works as a RTD Rule writer who manages the rules within the Oracle Real Time Decision system. She writes sales recommendation rules, insights, context messages and service messages.

Mr. Virat Bhandari initiated the talk by sharing his journey; starting his career in 2010 as a Software Tester, Post Graduation from BITS Pilani, and Masters in Data Science from Imperial College London. He is currently doing statistical analysis at Acuris Global. Ms. Sakshi Verma also shared her career path starting from placement as Software Engineer with Infosys, then Business Analyst in Gurgaon, and now Campaign Consultant in British Telecom. They apprised the students about the wide range of projects being undertaken by them and inspired the students to make a strong network. The session was extremely interesting and motivating for the attendees.
