Department of Chemistry conducted Lecture Series on Research Paper Writing: Session IV
In the lecture series on Research Paper Writing Session-IV, Report Writing was discussed. To conduct this paper, Prof (Dr.) Veena Choudhary, Professor-Emeritus, IIT, Delhi was invited. Prof. Choudhary is an expert in the field of polymer science and engineering, has published/presented more than 380 research papers in journals/conference with over 3800 citations, an h-index of 32 and i 10-index of 106. She has about five patents to her credit.
Prof. Choudhary mentioned the important features of report writing extensively, its significance; characteristics and structure. She mentioned that the most important part of any report writing is to write the Result and Discussion. In addition to that, she said that deriving conclusion is equally important. The conclusion should provide complete information. In the final part, the structure of report such as Cover page; Title; Table of Contents; Appendix; Abbreviation; Preface; Bibliography were discussed. In the last hour of the lecture, she gave a live demonstration to the students of SciFinder search.
